The situation

Hundreds of cameras, one empty building, and the quiet hours when things happen.

A shopping centre has car parks, service corridors, loading bays, roof access and dozens of shop fronts. After closing, the cameras keep recording, but somebody has to be looking at them when a motion alert fires at 02:40. Mall operators and their security contractors tell us the same thing: the overnight seats are the hardest to fill and the first to be cut.

Haven Teams supplies trained monitoring operators who take those seats. They work in the video-management and alarm platforms your licensed centre already uses, so nothing about the licence, the contracts or the response changes. Only the staffing problem does.

Overnight shifts nobody wants

Local operators leave for daytime roles, and agency cover is expensive and inconsistent.

Alarm floods at closing time

Cleaners, deliveries and roller shutters trigger hundreds of events that still need a human decision.

Shrinkage reviews pile up

Daytime theft footage is rarely reviewed because the team is busy with live events.

What your Haven team does

Eyes on the centre, every night, by the same people.

  • Live alarm verification on video for every zone, following your centre's scripts
  • Scheduled virtual patrols of car parks, loading bays and service corridors
  • Audio talk-down through on-site speakers to deter loiterers and rough sleepers before escalation
  • Escalation to mobile guards, keyholders or the police exactly as your procedure says
  • Next-day review of flagged daytime footage for loss-prevention teams
  • Shift logs and incident reports in your platform, ready for the centre manager in the morning
How licensing works

In the Netherlands and Belgium, live monitoring for a shopping centre must run through a licensed alarm receiving centre. Our operators work as extra capacity inside that centre's platform and procedures. If you operate a mall and do not yet have a monitoring partner, we will tell you honestly and point you to how the model works.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Can Haven Teams monitor our shopping centre directly?

No. We do not hold a monitoring licence and we do not sell monitoring to end clients. We supply trained operators to licensed monitoring centres and security companies in the Netherlands and Belgium. If you run a centre, we can staff your overnight seats; if you own a mall, your security contractor can bring us in.

Which video platforms do your operators know?

Our operators are trained on common VMS and alarm-management platforms such as Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, Immix and SureView, and we train on yours before the pilot starts. We never download or store footage outside your platform.

How fast do operators react to an alarm?

Reaction times are agreed in your statement of work, typically acknowledgement within 30 seconds and a decision within two minutes for a standard video alarm. We report against those numbers in the monthly scorecard.

What happens when there is a real incident?

The operator follows your escalation matrix: audio warning, mobile guard, keyholder, then police, with every step logged. Physical response always stays with your local partners.

Staff your retail night shifts for two weeks.

One trained operator working real overnight shifts inside your platform, with reaction times agreed upfront. Half the monthly fee, credited if you continue.
