The situation

Trucks at 03:00, a fence line in the dark and the most valuable stock in the building.

Distribution centres in Venlo, Tilburg, Antwerp or Liège rarely stop. Night deliveries, agency pickers and a perimeter that backs onto a motorway mean the camera wall is busy all night, and the difference between a late trailer and a theft in progress is a trained person looking carefully.

Haven Teams operators are trained for this environment: gate and dock procedures, licence-plate checks against expected arrivals, perimeter alarm verification and escalation. They take the shifts your centre struggles to fill, with the same people on the same site night after night.

Constant movement, real alarms hidden

Legitimate night traffic generates hundreds of events that mask the one that matters.

Cargo theft and insider risk

High-value stock and seasonal agency staff raise the stakes on every exception.

Gates need a decision, fast

Drivers waiting at an unmanned gate at 02:00 need a quick, correct answer.

What your Haven team does

A steady night crew for your logistics clients.

  • Remote gate control: driver verification, plate checks and barrier release per your procedure
  • Monitoring docks and trailer parks for unauthorised access or seal tampering
  • Perimeter and fence-line alarm verification, with audio warnings where fitted
  • Scheduled virtual patrols of yards, fuel points and cycle sheds
  • Escalation to on-site guards, the client's shift manager or the police
  • Shift reports with vehicle logs and incident timelines for the site's security manager
Working alongside on-site guards

Many logistics sites keep a guard at the gatehouse. Our operators complement them, covering the camera wall and alarm queue so the guard can handle vehicles and people. We work only inside a licensed centre's platform; physical response stays local.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Can operators release gates and barriers remotely?

Yes, where your platform allows it and your procedure defines the checks. Operators verify the driver, vehicle and expected arrival before any release, and every action is logged in your system.

Do you cover full 24/7 rosters?

Yes. A 24/7 seat typically needs five to six trained operators including backup. We can staff the full roster or only the nights and weekends your local team cannot cover.

Do your operators know logistics-sector procedures?

Our operators are trained in gate, dock and perimeter procedures and we build site-specific instructions with your centre during onboarding. The named team lead keeps them updated as the site changes.

Which languages do operators speak with drivers?

Operators speak English and are trained in the standard Dutch and German phrases used at gates. Complex conversations are routed to the client's on-site or on-call contact.
